Children and Wives of Disabled Soldiers Association, (CAWODISA ) is a voluntary, independent, non governemental organization in Uganda with a mission to improve the welfare of its members and restore hope and confidence in the lives of their fathers / husbands through rehabilitation in preparation for the resettlement of the member families.
With the Free Grow Grant, they plan to empower 25 women coffee groups in Mubende District, Uganda by enhancing their sustainable production practices through training on sustainable farming practices, ensuring high-quality coffee production, training in financial literacy, business planning, and access to credit facilities, They will form a cohesive apex body to unify the coffee groups, providing them with governance structures and collective bargaining power. This body will represent the groups in negotiations, helping secure better market terms and access to resources.They also plan to focus on advocacy to promote supportive policies for sustainable coffee production.
